聲 物語

As an extension of the human body, the bellows of the piano accordion mimic the human lungs. In order to sound, the instrument is pushed and pulled in a simple act of physical exertion. The sound production of the accordion suggests the travel of energy from a live but stationary body, simply breathing in and out.
As an untrained user, I approach the accordion predominantly as a device for creating textures and sustained tones. I’m interested in exploring the borders of simplicity and complexity, to encourage audience perception of complexity with simple sonic gestures.
